Artist Lyrics Analysis
Pulls an artist's lyrics from the Genius API and charts the words they use most, in Turkish or English.
The resulting charts reached 300K+ organic views on LinkedIn.
Problem
What does an artist actually sing about? Word counts get noisy fast because of remixes, demos and one-off words.
Approach
Downloads lyrics via the Genius API. Drops near-duplicate songs (85% similarity, keeping the longer version). Cleans the text with Turkish or English stopword lists and only counts words that appear in at least two songs.
Result
Bar charts that show both how often each word appears and in how many songs. There is also a search for any single word.
